TWO Static Air Ports are INCLUDED in this kit. These ports are machined from high quality aluminum billet and are compatible with Van's specification for static ports. Each kit includes enough "Tee"
fittings for connection of up to four instruments on the static air system.
Typically, these are: Airspeed, Vertical Speed, Dynon EFIS, and Blind
Encoder. AN-3 adapter fittings are INCLUDED for adapting the Dynon Pitot/AoA 3/16" tubes to the plumbing system. Image at right. "Tee" fittings incorporate mounting lugs to make it easier to secure the plumbing system to the airframe at bulkheads and flanges. This makes your installation easier and more reliable. |

Additional items included: One dozen 1/4" snap bushings, stainless steel machine screws and stop nuts, and plenty of tubing for a typical RV installation. Our customers continue to tell us that this kit is built right. NOTE: DO
NOT use NyloFlow, Tygon, or other tubing types with fittings in these
kits. Tubing supplied is specially designed to seal and work properly
with these fittings. The tubing supplied with these kits is specifically
designed for compatibility and reliability with the fittings and couplings.
Other tubing types may (probably will) deform over time and allow small
leaks in your system. SafeAir1 does NOT recommend the use of other tubing
types. |

The SAME Static Air Ports we include in each of our Pitot-Static Air Kits. SOLD IN PAIRS ONLY - These high quality static ports are machined from 6061-T6 Aluminum. Requires a .250" hole for flush mounting to aircraft skin. Note: The back side of the port has an edge distance "groove" cut into it so you can use whatever drill/rivet pattern you choose. Pictures shown at right are slightly outdated but will updated soon. Static Ports are tapped to accept fittings with 1/8" NPT fittings. This offers tremendous flexibility for the homebuilder. Quick Disconnect
Kit contains two 90-degree elbow fittings and a pair of special application plugs for temporarily sealing the Pitot and AoA lines during construction. |
Use these 90-degree elbows to make the transition through the fuselage skin with your Pitot and AoA plumbing. Several builders have asked us to offer this optional kit so that you can make a clean 90 degree turn with the tubing right at the wing/fuselage skin junction. These elbows incorporate mounting lugs so you can mount them rigidly to a flange or angle just inside the fuselage in the wingroot area. ADDITIONALLY --- The kit includes a pair of specially designed plugs so you can install the plumbing in the wing or fuselage and then plug the connectors until you're ready to mount your wings on the airplane. ONLY $14.50 !! PLEASE NOTE: All parts are completely compatible with the SafeAir1 Pitot-Static Plumbing Kit and Angle-of-Attack Plumbing Kit shown above. Please do not use other types of tubing with these connectors as seal damage may occur.
